The absolute best part of hiking Timp is sliding down the glacier on the backside. (for those of you thinking that glaciers only float in the ocean and sink the Titanic:
A glacier is a large mass of ice moving slowly over some land surface or down a valley) Webster it yourself if you still don't believe me.
Once again the glacier did not disappoint.

My older brother Tyler was the first to jump down the steep edge.

Tyler came prepared with bright yellow rain pants and plastic bags to duct tape around his shoes for optimum speed. The rest of us just duct-taped up our shorts and shoes a little.

It is a little intimidating looking down, knowing that once you start there is no going back.

Sam and Taylor racing down one of the smaller glaciers further down the mountain, I love ya babe, but I am pretty sure Sam won that one.

At the bottom of the glacier there is Emerald Lake, it is so clear and beautiful and oh so cold.
